What is a Newspaper?
A Newspaper is a publication printed on newsprint and distributed daily or weekly, containing news, editorials, regular commentary by syndicated columnists, cartoons, advertising, and other items of general interest. In libraries, newspaper back files are usually converted to microfilm or microfiche to save space. Reader/printer machines are usually provided for viewing and making copies of material in microform format. Most major newspapers distribute current issues on the World Wide Web.
